| Well, if you're running Norton, that is bound to be causing any number of random problems on your computer. However, it sounds like DHCP may have been disabled on the computer. Do you know how to get into your computer's IP/DNS server settings?

| Welcome the the world of Vista! MS have seen fit to rewrite all of the code which handles DHCP. Have you checked your router manufacturers site for a firmware update for Vista? Also, you might want to try the following, but can't guarantee it will work (but it wont make things worse!). 1. Control Panel --> Network List 2. Right click your connection, select properties 3. Highlight your adapter and click properties. 4. DISABLE 5. Back to Control Panel --> Device Manager 6. Find you Network card and ENABLE it. 7. Voila ~ Don't ask why or how ~ it's a VISTAism! Forgot to say, make sure that your IP v.6. is disable, I know it's supposed to auto detect but occasionally still spouts junk and confuses other hardware!
