| Hello All! I have an issue with my wireless internet connectivity. I was running fine for a year+ until last night. I lost connectivity and haven't been able to get it back. I have a cable modem. It is on and all lights are green. I have a desktop and 2 laptops connected wirelessly to the cable modem. I have a connection to my own wireless network and it says I have a strong signal strength, but I can't access the Internet. I can, however, connect using a neighbors wireless connection and access the Internet no problem. I have tried everything short of throwing everything out the window. Please point me in the right direction! ________________________ This user added the following: ________________________ Oh, I can also access shared files on all three machines, so I'm assuming that much of the network is working. Is it my connection from my modem out? Last edited by ArmyDave; 02-13-2007 at 10:47 PM. Reason: Double Post |

| At our house we have a wireless network. And the same thing happened to us. We called our internet service provider(ISP). And they fixed it. They said that the problem was were the router and modem had an IP conflict. You should contact your ISP and they should be able to fix the problem. |

| Hello ArmyDave, Welcome to CompuForums. It's great to have you here. We help you for free, so please help us by becoming an active member and adding yourself to our member map. This may sound simple, but try unplugging the power to all of your networking devices and leaving the power off for 30 minutes. If it still dosen't work then try holding the reset button on the back of each unit before connecting the power, connecting the power with it still held down then continuing to hold the reset button for 30 seconds.

| Keep in mind that resetting the routers or disconnecting the power adapter probably reset the device(s) to their factory-defaults--meaning that the device(s) might not have any passwords protecting an unauthroized user from accessing/modifying them--especially important for your wireless router. Just something to keep in mind.
