How much should a network admin make per year?
How is a network admin payed?
What are the advantages of being a network admin?
What are the disadvantages of being a netowrk admin?
What is required to learn how to be a network adimin?
What else should you know when your going to be a network admin?

These questions are ones that i need an opinion on.

Are there any other Web sites were you can learn how to become a network administrator?

Pay, like in any other industry, will depend on many factors - experience, training, etc etc...

If you've never worked as a network admin before (firstly, you should clarify what the job entails - network admin can be fairly vague... are you just looking after the network, PC's as well, servers, etc.... ), then I'd suggest getting some sort of formal qualifications (such as from a TAFE or college) before trying to gain employment, as IT is a very competitive industry, you'll have a lot of competition.

Like any other job, you can't just wake up one day and say, 'Hey, I think I'd like to be....' and go do it, you at least have to know what you're doing

you dont neccisarily have to pay anyone anything. ive never paid a cent for any information. i worked a crappy job for 2 years while i learned how to do all the things i know how to do with computers. i learned everything from linux to vista to win 98 to xp and the list goes on. i can also do almost everything to do with networks and windows servers. all you have to do is read and then try what you read. now i own a business and i have a net worth of over a million dollars. took me 5 years from when i started the business but now im on top. (by the way i never even graduated high school, i hire people that did)

This will vary on company to company, Like my self.. I make nearly nothing because i voulenteer most of the time

Usually most administrators take network classes, and get certs such as Networking + Or .. Cisco courses


What else should you know when your going to be a network admin?

A back way into your network, if you forget anything you are theonly one that knows how and where..
