Hi again milanscar,

I know that this might not seem helpful, but you may want to see if you can get a replacement. Have a look on the box, if it mentions a lifetime warranty you're in luck. Just phone up tech support in India, explain the problem and they'll diagnose it. However they are not very helpful so if you phone them enough times [took me around 4-5] then they eventually take your address down and ship out a new bit of hardware [in my case router], without having to ship back the old unit.
I did this myself and while I am still waiting for the router, I diagnosed the problem myself. My Belkin router model is known for overheating [I wish I found that out BEFORE I purchased it], so I opened it up to find that the little plastic heatsink glued to the CPU wasn't making it cooler. So I ripped it off, closed the router up and it's been fine. Hopefully the new one won't have these problems.

If your card does not have the lifetime warranty, then come back and we will diagnose the problem, or advise a new card.

milanscar,
Is your router connected to your modem correctly? Re-connecting it might help... Also, what type of router do you use? I'd recommend using D-Link, I've had a lot of problems with Linksys

well i threw the box away so i have no idea if there is a lifetime warranty .... i will probably just buy a new card......i operate on 2000 pro and it is tough to get the right drivers because i only have limited access to the net at work. the way i got my current driver was from a friend who burned a copy for me....unfortnately he doesn't live close.....as for my router, i live in an apartment that provides a wireless signal.....this signal is configured properly because my roommate gets internet with no problems.....i am not sure why but there have been times that the belkin card has worked but not lately.. is it possible to load a driver onto a 3.5 disk...if it is i will probably go buy a new card......any suggestions on brand names
