| Hello dhollima, Welcome to CompuForums. I hope you can visit our forum often and add yourself to our member map. There are two ways to go about doing this. You can either purchase a wireless printer server [if the printer is not a network one], or you can connect a computer to the network and the printer to the computer. Which option do you think would suit your needs best?

| HI Ashley and thank you. The computer Im trying to print off of is already part of the network and the printer is hooked directly to it. Any suggestions? (as you can tell, I'm technologically somewhat challenged) Thanks-Dan |

| If the printer is already directly hooked up to the network, you should be able to install it by going into the Windows XP Control panel [under the Classic view], selecting Printers and Faxes and clicking Add a printer in the left pane. Follow the instructions in the wizard, and when asked if the printer is directly connected to the computer or on a network, select the option mentioning "Network Printer".

| Remember you need to share the printer on the other pc as well as add it to the computer you want to print from

| Do you already own a wireless print server? I am not quite sure what the current setup is. Is the printer connected directly to another computer or is it connected to the network?

| Is the computer that the printer is attached to also on the network? You would need this computer to be on whenever you want to print so if that sounds inconvenient you might want to purchase a wireless print server. That way you only need the print server and printer plugged in

| Remember that computers need to be in the same workgroup and the same IP range for network printing to work, the printer also has to be shared.
