1) READ SITE RULES!
Computer Forums - Announcements in Forum : Announcements
2) There is no point to this post-you are not asking for computer help of any sort and are just expressing a hateful opinion.

Don't get me wrong-I'm not a Mac fan at all, but you must abide by forum rules when posting and should either ask for computer help or give help.

i don't think havwok was giving a hateful opinion at all....if read the thread reads
"reasons to hate macs....there are none"

Could i ask why you like the MAC OS so much? I'm currently trying to decide between VISTA and Mac

Get a Mac and you won't have computer problems, but you'll have to learn new software and a new OS [but you can still run Windows apps on a mac with Parallels or install Windows to your Mac and dual boot it]
Get a PC running Vista and you are bound to have all sorts of problems that Vista has [despite a few people being in denial] and you will still have to learn Vista's new layout and keep clicking OK on your UAC popups.

the times i've used the Vista though, it seems to fit the needs for an office work-top, i suppose it all depends on what you really need from a PC. how do you dual boot two OS?

cheers mate

I've got Vista on a brand-spanking new machine and doing the stuff that you wouldn't do on someone else's machine normally [defragging, startup options and the like] things just crash randomly.

On a Mac you can dual boot OSX and Windows by using Boot Camp. I think there's a wizard for it that takes you through the process.

this is an age long argument/difference of opionions. It comes down to personal opinion. If you like MAC use it, if you Like XP Use it, If you like Vista Use it If you like Linux, well you get the idea yeah! Dont be persudaded to do anything because of what people say. Stick with what works best for you. Im so bored and sick and tired of the same god damn battles between Windows/MAC/LinuX -USE WHAT YOU WANT HOW YOU WANT-

Well, I may have some issues with Vista on my desktop (like... When I connect my usb hub, it can't install the drivers for it, but that seems to be a mobo issue, not vista), but Ubuntu won't even boot, and OSX won't install GPU drivers. Vista is much more secure than XP, and has good performance, so Vista ftw.

Reasons to dislike macs: The dock is hard to use compared to the task bar in Windows/Linux.

Ubuntu wont boot?
You must be doing something wrong then...
I wouldn't use that as a reason not to like it.

Mac is the best and allways will be the best! if there is a program which runs on Windows that won't run on Mac, there will usually be an equivalent program for mac which will get the job done

...Same with Linux. If there's not a windows program that wont run under Wine, there's an equivalent. - Plus I believe that Linux is the most talked about operating system on the internet, so you're sure to find help if you need it...

MACs are generally "User Friendly" if thats how you define user friednly but indeed it seems that Vi$ta may fit your workspace and may look nice and flashy but in the end, if your just looking for a computer to work perfectly that YOU can work with, with the minimal obstacles? The question is, are you really up to the chalange and do you really have the time to fix any problems that come your way? Some is preference and some is required. Need all your work to be done perfectly w/o hesitation...? Then dont Horrify yourself with MACs, and dont get Vi$ta until a patch comes out or its completley stable. If you have no prefs and want work done, theres a simple phrase for your problem...

STICK TO XP PEOPLE!!!
