To dislike an entire Brand simply because the monitor is attached to the same shell as the CPU is unfair. And to be honest, does this mean you'll never use a Gateway or IBM compatible?

When macintosh first introduced this type of PC into the market (where the monitor shared the same shell as the CPU), Gateway (and a couple other IBM compatible manufactures) introduced a few models that were exactly like it.

Don't judge a book by its cover -- even if it really is deficient.

That's my point for this thread, to show ll the flaws that macs have. I can't control what other people think. If someone else thinks thats a bad thing then they can post it and I can't do anything about it.

Well, graphics hardware isnt too great but hang on.... OPTIMIZATION is the word. Please remember this, Macs are so optimized for there hardware that they run on, so they run so smoothly, great graphics, great speed, I think all you Windows users are quite jelous of people who use BSD and Linux based systems, because you cant face up to the stability that we recieve, yes the software range may be limited but I tell you what, Fireworks and Photoshop run loads better on my iBook than on my 2.8ghz Pentium 4 and my mac is only a 1.3 ghz with a gig of RAM. Never underestamate clean coding, well made operating systems and the lack of supported systems, less supported systems means more optimization.

As the starter of the thread, I think you are off topic, or you didn't notice that there are three extra letters infront of like. Those three letters are d-i-s, which transform the word "like" to "dislike." Seeing as there are different words, they belong in different threads. So, if you want to tell everyone how great macs are,( which have very little greatness) you can start a thread called "Reasons to like macs " or something of that nature.

You cannot expect to have a 1 sided argument, thats the idea of discussion and these forums, to DISCUSS, notice the 7 letter word... OK so how about we stop insulting intelligence and have a real discussion instead of flaming members. This will not be tolerated under the CompuForums TOS. Continued flaming of members will result in a temporary or permanent ban.
