Default Vegetarian, Vegan or None?

I was just wondering how many Vegies and Vegans we have on here
If your not quite sure, (As a few of my mates have been) check out the video on this site: Meat.org: The Web Site the Meat Industry Doesn't Want You to See

I'm a vegetarian, slowly turning Vegan...

Neither, and I expect that video shows only the worst cases.

Any living thing that is kept in a confined space inside a building with thousands of others of its kind, that is tortured and mutilated before finally being slaughtered IS the 'worst case'. I NEVER tell other people that they shouldn't eat meat but there are better ways to grow it than these 'factory farms'.

I'm a meat eater but my boyfriend is a strict vegetarian so most of the time I do have a vegetarian diet...honestly, if I didn't like the taste of meat so much, I would be a vegetarian - hypocritical I know! But does it really matter that I do and can eat meat when I don't most of the time anyway?

I love my meat but i also love animals. I try to buy meats and what not from free farmed animals.
But yeah, i'd never be able to become vegetarian, let alone vegan. Did you know soy meat tastes like dogs Schmakos, i've tried both of them.

I'm a carnivore. The rest of the aminal kingdom is based on predators/prey. Why shouldn't we be. Unless the animals are being treated like total shit. Which they are in cases, but that's no reason to go veggie - that's a reason to sort those problems OUT.

The fact that in a lot of cases the animals are treated like 'shit' is exactly why millions of people world wide, and myself are vegetarians / vegan.

Yeah well personally i think it's more sensible to improve the animal welfare than become veggie.

Okay, well improving the welfare is a good option.
But how do you intend to do that, if you eat meat? You therefor are supporting the bad welfare to animals.

*I* don't intend to change it, it's the government's job. How that comes about is the problem of course. That's what we need to think about. From a public perspective we can try and only buy meat from good sources, if possible. I already only buy free range egs, but organic meat is too expensive so i just can't do it unfortunately. So i don't know the answers, i just know that the planet turning veggie is NOT the answer.

The government won't do anything. The only ay that things will change is if we change them. Although I don't believe anyone should really eat meat, the people that do should respect where the meat has came from, like you.

And why do you say that turning vegie or vegan isn't the answer? the less we support it, the less t will happen.

I'm not going vegetarian - Humans are on top of the food chain, they're supposed to eat meat. But I don't see why we could be like vultures and eat meat after the animals die from natural causes. I used to run a forum with a vegan, but she stared spazzing out just because I said something about meat. She called me a freaking retard, which she calls everything(retarded is her favorite word).

Yea I have noticed most vegans and veggies are like that. However eating animals after they died is just gross IMHO

Well, maybe not like vultures... Well, we raise them, let them die of natural causes, and then deep fry them.
