| Yep I think your on to something there |

| well its better than "god decided one day, he would put a naked man and a rib woman onto a nice looking garden and they will have sex until they populate the earth with a few billion people". I have no theories but that is a good one. |

| haha this is a great idea for a post. Okay, so first of all, I think that life is special. Theres something about humans and animals that make us diffrent from trees and plants. So i'm just gonna call this thing a Soul. And with al the stuff that is possible on this plannet, making a soul is defintaly not one. I don't bielve that we were made on the plannet, like what the firstpost said, and I deifntaly don't bielve in the 'god' theory. This is just a simple little story to shut the annoying kids who ask: "where did I come from?" ..."me and your dad" "where did you come from?" ..."my mum and dad" "but where did they come from?!" ..."God!" So yeah, I think that millions of years ago, when the earth had settled down from all the astoriods etc.. there was one lastone, which containted a few other little elements that were not found on this planet before. And this is what made life as we know it. I think we may of envolved a little bit since the first type of humans... but we did defiynaly not come from moneys, or any toher type of animals on this plannet. I mean look at us, we are in no way the same as any other animal on this plannet. Donkeys & Horses are very similar. same with Tigers & Lions and Giraffes & Zebras. Humans & moneys? Pfft. Have you ever seen a money make a car, and drive it to get to a palce faster then walking? ...or (i know this is mean) have you ever seen a money use other monkeys as slaves to get their work done faster? Moneys making a fire to keep warm? - monkeys using fire to cok their food? Nope So therefore, I think we come from another plannet Jam

| I think the idea is that we evolved from monkeys and apes, When something evolves it gets better/changed. Thats why were more cleaver than monkeys |

| I try to tell people at school creationism is a load of crap, but they still believe that stuff. If there's no scientific explanation, it's just a bunch of BS. They don't realize that just because there's an answer doesn't mean the answer is right. They don't seem to understand a word I say... I say "CPU" and they just stare. And I'm sure we evolved from apes, because humans and apes are both in the primate family. Over millions of years, we just got less hair, a few changes in body shape, and opposable thumbs.

| One example that we use alot in school to emphasize creation is the Grand Canyon. The Evolutionist believe that it was slowly created by a lake draining out over millions of years, yet if that is true, why isn't the canyon just a steady slope down instead of cliffs? It would take one hell of alot of rushing water to create such a slope, hence the Flood...That is one of the many examples on the earth of creation. I'm not here to preach so I'll leave it at that.

Because I have often had a look for proof, and never found anything. No one can prove that God is real, therefore, in my eyes, the whole of Christianity, (and any other religion for that matter) cannot be proved. I think that there is more prove that God doesn't exist, and that we dind't come from him/her/it (sorry, I don't know what you refer to God as). I think we have created God, not the other way around Jam

| People lets not get into too much of a debate over this thread, especially where people's religion is concerned. |

| I'm personally not into the whole creation idea (at least as it is said in the bible). I believe that the world is about 6 billion years old and has enjoyed a gradual evolution during that time. I do believe that Darwin's theories on the evolution and on animal intelligence/conciousness follow very closely to what we see in the world today. I do not believe in the evolutionist theory of creation. That part has some holes in it. Whether that first spark that began life on this world was an intelligent being (God) or something else, I'm open to all opinions. I guess I don't understand why we treat this as an all or nothing thing. Theories are meant to be changed and adapted as new evidence comes to light. I'm also not sure that, just because the world took a little longer than 6 days to make, it makes the whole bible a lie. Its a big book with lots of good messages and stories. I just think that faith (either way) shouldn't blind us to what's right in front of our eyes. Also, the Grand Canyon is the way it is because of the rock surrounding it. The sloped sides like taco described would be if the Colorado River was running through beach sand. The sides of the canyon are sloped slightly though. |

| I disagree. The walls of the Grand Cayon are the made of layers so different densities of rock are on each level. Even if there was a layer or rock that would resist that type of erosion, the other layers would show the steady slope instead of a sheer drop off.
