Grappler, I thought the Marina was a Morris. IIRC it took over from my present car. A 1969 Morris Minor, Lovely car. I can work on it and it has no warning lights that need it to go into the garage to have knocked off.
Ian.

The current fleet...

1998 Mitsubishi Lancer 1.8 Turbo Coupe
1999 Mistubishi Galant 1.8 Saloon
2000 Isuzu Wizard 4WD 3.0 Diesel
2001 Holden Commodore SS V8 5.7

Needless to say with the fuel prices the SS stays in the garage most of the time!

Aunty Helen is always having a go at something! Election year this year though so the 'enticements' are starting to come through now. We don't use the Commodore except for long trips - that's why we have the Mitsis. Holden is an Aussie manufacturer but we don't hold that against them! Peugeot (sp?) is popular here and I may look at them later this year when I upgrade the Galant. Any opinions on Peugeot?

Ghost, I don't know if the speed limit on Jersey is the same as Guernsey, 35mph if I recall. It amazed me a few years ago when we went for a holiday there, all these Porches, Ferraris and other high performance cars. With a 35mph speed limit. Do they all wait for the hillclimb w/ends to come around?

My dream car would have to be an AC Cobra Mk 3. Beautiful and sounds awesome.

aha, I'm not too fussy when it comes to dream cars. But I would like one of these. Not that special but I love them!

Hehe, Ghost I think I have made a bit of a co*k up. I thought you lived in Jersey in the Channel Islands. But somehow I think you live in Jersey USA. But I thought that was called New Jersey?

It is, but me and friends just call it jersey but ya, speed limit is at the highest, probobly 75 on the highway and theres usually no cars on the hignhway, not utill you get closer to NYC. My dad owned about a year ago a 77 Corvette stingray, but i was too, young to drive it so that kinda sucked, we whent 110 on the highway and got lucky becuase there werent no cops. But i still wish he hadnt sold it, cuz it would be mine!! heehee, but ofcourse, its gone, "Tear"
