What is the deal with the bank accounts on this forum? What is it used for? I just don't understand it. Forgive me if this is a stupid question. I have never seen this on any other forums.

You earn CF$ when you register, when you log in regularly, and when you make posts and topics. The longer the post, the more CF$ you earn. You can currently spend your CF$ in the arcade, and there will eventually also be a shop where you can purchase things like avatars, user name changes and user name colours.

Ash, you need to look at my CF$ thing. it only gives me 10 credits for every post. i used to get 2000 or so. i want to be able to buy a virtual mercedes when they become available on compuforums.

You have a bit more CF$ now.

Thank you for that, I did notice that I can purchase items, are they actual or virtual? also could you let me know the rate of exchange?, I'm guessing that it's about .001% like store cards, I only joined yesterday & I see that I have I already have around 17,000 at .001 I make that 17CF cents, which is pretty damn good in my opinion!

have you got any ideas when the shop will be up??

No idea jam, I'm in the dark as much as you, as regards the number of CF$'s you have, the more useful posts you make, the more CF$'s you get, don't get too excited 'cos I think they work like store cards do you use them, it's a good scheme though, I've been a member of 4 forums, & I haven't seen anything like it, it's good, by the way don't be a post whore, it's not liked, click on "Rules" & read them very thoroughly they're quite complex, I've printed them to refer to, it pays, you should do the same.

You don't directly get CF$ for answering users posts, you get them everytime you make a post. However the longer the post, the more CF$ you get. If its just a one or two word reply you don't get many but if you post longer posts then you get more CF$

There is a system in place which rewards you for helping other users in the form of reputation points. If somebody answers your post and it was very helpful or good advice then you can click on the blue scales icon (located on the green bar at the top of a post) which adds to the users reputation. Reputation can be viewed in the User Control Panel where you can see who left them and why. It can also bee seen on the right hand side of posts in the form of green dots. The more green dots you have the better your reputation
