| I live in UK and am working in Holland for 4 years. I work over there for 9 days and travel back and have 12 days off at home in UK. I also lived & worked in Germany for 8 years. After experiencing different countries (living in a country is completely different from visiting a country - you might love a place when you go there on holiday, but then if you live there it can be a totally different story) I always want to come back to UK - I know it sounds strange, but you only realise how good it is to live in UK, when you leave it for a while and can compare it to other places. My advice would be to travel but always leave your options open to come back when you feel its right. |

P.S. so far, its either texas (or near texas), NY, or NJ.

| Brooklyn is a part of NY City. Now if you are not used to large cities, then that would be a bad first choice. Where I live now is very congested with traffic, and there are tunnels everywhere that stay backed up. Now, I do not live in a metropolis my any means. Chech out different things on the internet as far as what you think you might be looking for. You are still very young so, you are subject to change your mind as you get older. Remember, "the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence, until you get there and find out that it is artificial turf!" Where you are now as Ash said is probably more awesome than America could ever be and I have lived here all of my life.

| UK ain't awesome in my opinion, it is wet and depressing, which is why i like the sound of america. sure, it rains in america, and you get storms, but not every day... in UK, your average day is either rain, wind, or... rain! i might travel to NY for a while, stay for a few years, then move to NJ, which is still fairly close to NY. i just wanna go to new york, because it is different. also, it depends on where the work will take me. thanks

| Okay, the gulf stream that gives the UK the fog and climate goes from south-to-north past NY. Don't expect to get away from too much of the climate. And we just ended a 3 year drought. I'd be grateful for a lot more rain. To get away from that, move to Kentucky, Tennessee or something that will give you the terrain you want. Still, what you plan on doing for a living (including school) should help you determine where you want to live. And 10 years from now, you should expect that the centers of business to shift quite a bit. Keep you options open. |

| Alabama.. yes you must get used to the "locals"... One of my good friends is from Alabama... She makes sure to stress how she won't ever move back, and that 3 day trips to her parents are too much. The coast hurricane cry-babies are not as bad there as in Louisana (lousy anna But it was not as fun on that one day we hit 114 degrees F. |

| Pennsylvania is a nice place to live. We have cold winters but the rest of the year is pretty good weather and the job market and economy have been growing rapidly for the past few years. I don't plan on ever permanently moving away from central PA.
