I technically broke all my upper ribs on purpose...but it was because I had chest surgery (metal bar inside the ribcage for a year, not fun) and the surgeons had to break my ribs for the procedure. Other than that, I sprained my ankle once and couldn't walk for three days. XP

I got a second degree burn from boiling water when I was 8 - And no, we didn't have to call paramedics or anything like that. And my chest, where I got burned, is still sensitive today.

Wow...just....wow. I don't think I've hurt myself that bad. Never broken any bones. The worst was probably when I fell off a skateboard. The side of my knee(The only part not protected by pads) hit concrete, and I couldn't walk without crutches for about a week. Right after it happened, I didn't have crutches. I had a really bad limp and it hurt really bad.

I knocked a pot of boiling water off the stove on my neck when I was in 7th grade. I can not stand anything near my neck/throat. All of my shirts (pull overs) have large necklines, which I've stretched quite a bit as well. Were I a lady, I would be showing enough cleavage to expose my navel. But I'm not, so you're safe. I can't even stand to see others with tight necklines or necklaces/chains.

speaking of burns, when I was about 7, i was at a birthday party/campout and everybody was making smores. some 3yr old walked up to the fire and pulled the (RED HOT!!) streched out clothes hanger someone was using to cook their marshmallows and turned around and whacked me in the face with it! I still have a faint scar from it.

This is an interesting thread and I have a pretty good instance of getting hurt when I was younger. I was once stung by 30 bees in the span of about 15 seconds when I stepped on an underground bees nest near my house. Needless to say it hurt pretty bad for a while. Horrible experience.

I was opening a bottle that had a saftey device on it yeasterday, and I sliced open my pointer finger and severed off most of my middle fingertip. I spent about 2 hours in the ER last night getting my finger taped back on. I have to wear a splint for the next week, and they say its going to be sore, and not be fully functionally for the next month or so. Ironically the bottle that I was trying to cut open didn't even need to be cut in the first place, it was a screw-off top!

I was like 6 or 7 and was riding my bike and I was riding slow and doing a pattern like this ~ repeatedly and somehow the bike kind of shot out from under me and I landed directly on my chin on a concrete sidewalk. Some stranger driving by stopped and picked me up and took me to the door of my house since I was on the side of it and gave me to my parents. My mom put me in the tub cuz I was bleeding so bad and sometime later told me she could see my chin bone. The my parents to me to the hospital and I had to get 40 stiches to close me up, I still have the scar from that.

Well I spent last night in hospital because of "Rumbling Appendix". I could not stand up or lay down (had to be in awkward sitting position) for like 3 hours before I got morphine and was ambulanced to the bigger hospital. It was the worse pain I have ever felt, it blocked out the pain from the tests such as rectal blood testing. On top of that I couldn't eat or drink until about 12PM today, though the pain stopped at about 3 this morning...

i have never really broken anything, but when i was 14, about 1/2 a year ago, i was playing football in my garden, i was running, lost balance on my patio stones, and ran head first into a brick wall (the edge). i was rushed in the car to hospital, and i had to have stitches, but my long hair covers the large scar.
