I found an interesting website Paid Curiosity
Looks like a collection of advertising presented as surprises, I never saw
this kind of advertising before! At the first impression looks like visitors
might check each box for its content, just from curiosity.
Purchasing a box might be a good value, especially if the site catches some
media attention ( like million dollar page or something )
What you think?

This is a unique way but I do believe google considers these Link Farms and it will actually damage your rank. I'm no expert on SEO though so you may want to wait until someone else responds.
