anyone here follow formula 1 racing? if so... favorite team? driver? how will the season go, do you think etc.... your views in general!!

i take a keen interest in it, but cant pretend to know lots of technial details.

i think Hamilton has made a flying start to the season and has got some serious skills!!

however i think these days, the car that the person is driving has much more of an impact than tthe skills of the driver. i mean if you put hamilton in one of the Hondas he obviously would not be doing so well, so while everyone jumps up and down and say how great Schumacher and Alonso are they wouldnt be anywhere without the mechanics! but put the driving who finished bottom last year in this years top car and the would be in the top 3!!.

its not like the "Good old days" (lol soz had to say it) where the mans skills was key to winning.

what do you think? given the best car could any of the drivers in the championship win a race?

yippeeee! someone else on this planet (well forum!) likes f1!!

i completely aggree, there is no way hamilton would be doin this well if he didnt have such a strong team/car, although i do think he is a very good driver, and if all the cars were equal, then i belive he would definately be doin just as well as he is doing.

i belive there is a lot of wasted talent on the track, and because these drivers dont have good enough cars they dont get the recognition they deserve..

but then again i was a jag supporter (and as u probably know they dont race anymore.... coz they were rubbish!) but it wasnt the fault of the drivers, as they are still there (well mark webber is!) so i decided to follow the drivers, and now i support red bull, (renault engines) simply because i always thought webber could do better with a better car, and he is. this season is going well for him! anyway im rambling!

do you support any team in particular?

i dig open wheel racing too. a lot more skill is involved (not going in circles all day

).

to be honest, i like motorcycle racing too. more death defying.

yes i like bike racing 2, to be honest though i havent heard of open wheel racing... is it an american thing? im guessing its cars? is it like stock-car racing?

no, i refer to f1 and cart cars as open wheel racing cars because of the lack of fenders. i don't follow stock car or nascar. i don't like the idea of driving a car that can only make a turn in one direction very well.

ahhh. i thought open wheeled racing was different to f1! (never heard of that term before) lol, i was gonna get angry, coz i thought you meant that f1 had no skill involved!

i think its going to be so close between hamilton and alonso.. alonso was really trying hard last week, and i think he's gonna try even harder this one, itll be interesting to see

yes hamilton and alonso are both in team mclaren, but thyve been fighting against each other in every grand prix this season.

well, i guess they can't both be winners... the one thing that really churns my butter is the fact that i wont be able to watch the race. i'm going on vacation to a lodge that only has electric and water. no t.v., no phone, no internet. i think i'm gonna go crazy.
