I think you have too much money if you just go out and buy a computer when you're bored. None the less, it's a good computer, except for the processor. Pentium D's are dated and if I built a computer, I'd go for a C2D.

yeah, the pentium D's are nice cheap processors, and at least they are dual cores. And and AMD would suck ass against a C2D. But yeah, i just felt building a gaming rig. i honestly dont know if ill keep it or not.

wow, for free. it almost seems too good to be true...But im gonna have to say no on that one. Sorry jsmith70. Yeah, i think im gonna add another 2 gigs of ram as well. i want an uber good gaming machine. Its gonna be fun playing games with maxed out settings and no lag whatsoever. I rock...jk. Yeah, i dont how many of you build your own systems, but if you buy yours like through dell or something, they kinda screw you over. so much cheaper to build them yourself. not hard to do either. anyway, im blabbering on. thanks for the input

I build my own - much better because i almost always put the Future in mind when i build .... so say in a year or so i want more ram .... i can add it , or if i want a better processor , i can put one it ..... i think that is a smart way to go about a build

However i have a dell .... those SOB's tried to sell me 512MB of ddr2 533 memory for 100 bucks i said hell no

Ya, stubs24, I've tried that gimmick on one of my friends. He wants to get a new computer, and I offered my service for his alienware case. For some reason, people don't want my service. I don't know why they don't like it, it's COMPLETELY FREE!!! I thought people liked free things. I can't seem to understand why people wouldn't want my service.

If you've made it into a gaming rig, go out and get a 160gb HDD for it. My Laptop isn't a gaming machine and I have already nearly filled up my 80GB SATA and my 160GB external. How 1337 is that?!?!?!

that 500gig sounds a little overkill for a strictly gaming rig, but more power to you. hmm, what would i do with 500gigs worth of games... $100 is a pretty decent deal. it's not a seagate, is it?

I'd say go for the WD or Seagate. I personally trust Seagate drives but then I've only ever had Seagate and Quantam drives [and the Hitachi drive in my laptop, which I'll replace if/when it fails]
