is it possible to connect a mobile phone network to a general company or i\university network via text messaging i heard its being used in the US please help

Hi geest,

This should be possible as long as the phone has a SIM card. They look similar to this:

You can almost always locate the SIM card under the battery.


If you want to switch providers, then take out the old SIM card and put in a new one from another network provider.
However, most mobile phones are locked so they only accept the SIM card they came with. If you could give us the make and model of the phone then we can find out how easy it will be for you to unlock it.

so, I am a bit unclear about what you want todo, . do you want to connect to the company, or just send a text to the company, and do you want it on a standard phone or via a specialist text number specially made for companies such as voting systems commonly seen on tv?

i think its got something too with broadcasting. like having a dsatabase of users and sending one text message to all this users.
