Thumbs down She's got no power Captain!!!

Power in house went out and came back on before I could turn off power strip PC was plugged into.
I tried to turn my computer on and SHE'S GOT NO POWER CAPTAIN, nada! I looked at the green light located on the power supply on back of computer and it was blinking. Disconnected power supply from PC and plugged it into wall socket. The green light on power supply was steady, put power supply back in computer, connected all the goodies tried turning PC on, still nada! Is there any way to check the power supply with a volt-ohm meter to see if the power supply is faulty. Seems like the first thing to check!! Any suggestions would be very helpful. I don't want to buy a new power supply just to find out it's not the power supply.
PC is a Presario SR1350NX

Perhaps you could take the power supply out and take it to a computer store to have it tested. I don't know where you are but you can buy testers from TigerDirect or Newegg Ultra 20/24 Pin Power Supply Tester at TigerDirect.com. When removing the power supply unplug it from the outlet and then push is and hold the power button for a few seconds to disperse the charge held in the capacitors. Good luck.

Check the capacitors on the motherboard to see if they are blown or on there way out. If one of them is blown it could mean that the motherboard is failing

Did you remove the power cable from the power supply and check if is getting 120 volts to the power supply? lots of time the power strip is at fault. Try plugging it to the receptacle directly.

Lots of luck
