Hello...i'm new to this forum. I would describe myself as a novice when it comes to computers. I can keep mine running decently for 6 months or so and then when all hell breaks loose i end up having to format my C: drive and put my OS and all programs in manually. lol.

I am here to learn a few things about my computer and to dicsuss sofware "what's good and what's bad". I'm always looking for new programs to give me better control and help me keep my computer in tip top condition.

I'm running Windows XP home. I used to use PC Cillin Internet security but have gotten a virus or two so i've decided to quit paying for it and have just recently installed AVAST as per recommendations on this site.

I'll be hanging around soaking up as much knowledge as you folks care to post. Thanks.
