Hi,

This is Pioquinto from Chicago. My friends call me Sonny.

I just joined because I am looking for information on getting rid of a PUP called JS/Joke-Shake.

McAfee is blocking it but can't get rid of it.

I downloaded Avast but it screwed up my laptop. Windows repaired itself but Joke-Shake is still there.

So now I'm going to search the site for information.

And about your problem, when you installed Avast, did you make sure McAfee wasn't running?

As to your question, yes, McAfee was running when I installed Avast. I gambled and I lost. I am just glad widows repaired itself.

As for JS/Joke- Shake, it looks like it's gone. I ran CCleaner as was recommended in another forum and it worked. I had found the location where JS was and that is now gone. McAfee has given me no more warnings about JS so knock on wood.

Ah okay, glad you got it sorted.
If anything like this happens again though, you should remember that its best to only have one anti virus program running at a time, and to post all future enquires in the correct forum [i.e not the introductions area]...
