Default Internet Explorer 8 Beta

Upgraded IE7 to Int.Explorer 8 Beta and now found that everytime when I open the browser it disables Norton Security software. My OS is vista home basic 32 bit.what settings are required to prevnt this ?

Being that it is Beta software it could be a bug. I would report it and go from there.

That's what you get when you are a guinea pig. Probems should be reported to Microsoft. I would assume there should be a change in Norton settings. Have you been in contact with Norton to see if there is a fix? How about Microsoft? Personally I would get rid of Norton and use one of the better free ones like Avast, AVG, etc.

Norton won't update its software to make it compatible until IE8 is realeased - reason for this is they could update and then there could be more changes to the Beta. I assume it is the phishing filter that is turned off? Apparently there is a phishing filter built into IE8 so I would just use that for now. There are many 'compatibility issues' with using Norton and I agree with mel8again that there are better options.

I would get rid of Norton and use Avast Home Edition. I been using it for years with no problems.

I would have to agree many peaple say that Norton Security is a virus.

Personally, I would leave all Beta products alone until they're fully debugged and no longer Beata versions.
