Many of those programs can be autoinstalled if the site is hosted on Centicero - VPS, Dedicated Servers, Shared Hosting and Design

lol nice one ash. Also, if anyone is really serious about starting a forum, even though they cost money, they are the most secure. Look into IPB and vBulletin. vBulletin is what this site is running on. Also, MyBB is coming out with a new software that is supposed to be the most secure. Check them out guys.

I think the best free forum software is either SEO-Board, or MyBB

IPB is nearly dead. vBulletin is the best out of paid software

True, IPB is almost dead. I never really noticed it, but not many sites do have IPB although it is still a really secure software.

I really enjoy phpBB. It is simple, and easy to use. I also like the free part!

phpBB has to be the most unsecured software out there. Theres so many flaws and exploits for phpBB that its not even funny. And even alot of the mods(which are hard to input)still have lots of exploits in the code. I wouldn't ever trust phpBB.

It may not be considered the best, but i do like MyBB. of course my server is temporarily down while i test various os'.

Well, i haven't heard much about the latest MyBB security wise, so im not entirely sure about it. But as for the new version that MyBB is coming out with its supposed to be extremely secure. So if your a MyBB user, keep your eye out for the realease.

Really easy to install addons too.

Hrm. Guess I never really worried about security because I don't really get much traffic to my forums. I might have to check out a different one if it is really unsecured, though. You say MyBB is good, yes?

Not sure about the old MyBB's, but th newest one that is coming out from them is supposed to be really secure. Try vBulletin or IPB if you want really secure forum softwares.
