| hey, If your using Vista, I'm pretty sure there is a way to change the volume for certain applications - like your internet. I can't remember how to change it, but I think if you load up FireFox, then right click on the volume control? Options should come up in there.. ![]() ^ Kinda like that, but FireFox should show up...

| I asked what kind of noise, because be sound =/= noise. Noise is undesirable, it could be inteference from radio stations, it could be static the list goes on. I personally hear a spanish music station on my speakers if they are not plugged into the PC, or if the PC is off, and the speakers left on. That is NOISE (undesirable). And yes, they are shielded speakers. As for number 2, yes you stated your browsers. The 2nd question was to determine if you hear music when you use Media Player or real player, which you did answer, thanks. Now, in the control panel for sounds, did you make sure you are using the correct audio device (mixer)? I'd have to jump back into windows to check how it's labeled again, I've slept since then. But at times, my mixer device changes to either NONE, or something that is not my desired sound-card. You may want to check that. Also, do you have the most recent flash player? Next, you may need to check the associations. Sometimes the get-Real Player or Quickslime want to hog all of the extensions to be played with their players. These are options, as are the others given. Let us know which you tried and how they turned out.
