Default Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 Released

Well, Beta 1 is.

It passes the Acid 2 test, now comes with a zoom feature I enjoy, and the "You've Opened a New Tab" page has been made to look better.

The "developer tools" is typical Microsoft - exactly how not to do it - using uppercase tags....eeeugh. It is also slower (to be expected, though), and the tabs look low budget to me.

Still, it is finally a step forward for Microsoft, and I am hoping it will make web developers lives easier.

Well it isn't the final version, so it might not have all of the features in just yet...
either way when it comes out, I won't be using it, I much rather prefer Opera or Fire-fox

And its slower?!
haha wow. Didn't realise it could get slower!

Hey grappler, the reason for wanting to unistall it, is because its a beta release and has quite a few little bugs in it. I just wanted to try it for a couple of days and then go back to using IE7 but there seems to be no way of doing this. However other people seem to be able to have done it in the add/remove control panel. I think maybe the install didint go great and thats why im having trouble. Good thing is though it has an EMULATE IE7 feature which has helped me revert back to ie7 (sort of)

Could you just try install IE7 again, and it might overwrite it?
