THANSEN53 is on a distinguished road
Default Stuck with Error Reporting template using IE

I'm certain no one has ever encountered this but if there are any solutions (besides entering the registry) please please advise. I was traveling and stopped by a place to use wi-fi. The cost was $4.95 for 24 hrs, payable by credit card. From then on, whenever I open IE I get the error reporting template "Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close...) in front of any program open, Word, IE, etc. If I click Send Error Report or click Don't Send, or X it out I immediately lose my IE connection. In other words, I have to let the thing remain on my screen to access IE. It doesn't show up using Control Alt Delete, but it's controlling my IE. I am horrified I'll be stuck with this the life of my computer. Also, when I can't get a connection but try to open IE it shows up. If I tell it to report the error, it goes thru the motions, but can't actually be reporting with no connection. I ran paid versions Registry Mechanic, and AdAware. Didn't help. Hope you can! And thanks, Terri
