I am downloading a few files. Some are ".rar" and the others are, well, can't seem to find them now. Anyways. For the .rar files. What programs out there are free and able to view these files?

Well the internet advice is supposed to be free, hence the free sign up and use. A donation isn't a donation if it is asked to be paid... I am sorry but this is kind of rude to be asking me to do this. I was not aware in the agreement or anything else that I had to pay money to ask questions on this sight. I beleive we are way off topic now so maybe we should move this to pms...

Posting in the General discussions is GREAT!! You will find that sometime, somewhere, you will know more than others about something. In that you can help. That is all we ask

In answer to the original question. 7zip is another free program that can read .rar files. Also. If you get files that you cannot determine what application wil open, I suggest TrIDNet. It's an application which will usually tell you the file type of an unknown file. For media files, if you cannot open them, I use a free program called Gspot to find out the codecs and media file type, ie: divx, xvid, mp3, Ac3, etc. Hope this helps.
