Default PDF File Problems.

Hi Lately when ever I go to download any file that has PDF on it. It shows a window that shows (Open, Save, Cancel) as it always has. However, when I click on open I just here a tone then nothing happens. Did I turn off something that shouldn't have been turned off? This just started when I tried to download Adobe V 8.1 or there abouts. Anybody know how to fix, or undo what I missed up? This happens in both fire fox, and IE7 Thanks, Randy

Try downloading and installing the Foxit PDF reader - it's a great replacement for Adobe's own and it loads much quicker too. Get it from:

Thanks for the repair on my PDF problem. It is nice to know that there are people out there that know so much about computers and are willing to share without any strings attached to guys like myself who know absolutely nothing about the darn machines except how to turn them on. My

I second that. Since I've started using FoxIt, performance has been much better. Adobe Reader is just one big piece of bloatware.

Wow, I just installed it and I love it, seems to use a lot less resources. Thanks.
