| So I was just browsing the net, and I came across this way to minimize the ammount of RAM that FF uses when minimized. about:config New Boolean config.trim_on_minimize true Then reset it! It worked well for me

| honestly, I use firefox for my daily browsing. and use IE ONLY for making online purchases.... It's not that I trust one over the other. I like how Firefox runs... but whenever making financial transactions, I always use a different browser, so as to prevent any accidental stealing of my info. I could just as well run Safari for winblows, opera or something else. The point is to use different stuff when just surfing.

| I'm a tab-addict, so I can get a large amount of tabs going without even realizing. Usually Firefox is great about it, but even with smaller amounts there are times when its RAM usage goes sky high. Closing it and reopening it (even with all the previous tabs) usually cuts it down to size, but I'm not sure what causes it. I've also tweaked a few of my about:config settings (like the minimize one mentioned above), so I rarely have issues. |

| Is Firefox becoming bloated? | Hardware 2.0 | ZDNet.com I'd agree, firefox is getting bloated, it's not only Microsoft, and considering that IE is already a V8, and Firefox at V3, this doesn't sound that good... |

| I think a slimmer version of firefox would be a better idea.
