Hi all. A newbie here. Glad to have found this site...
So, for some reason, recently I'm unable to type characters into my Safari address/search bar. My keyboard works fine everywhere else, but when I type in the search bar no characters appear. I've considered resetting Safari, but only as a last resort since that would remove my stored passwords and erase my history, etc.
Any ides as to what's going on? Thanks!

Try using a different internet browser. Maybe Mozzila Firefox or Internet Explorer.

Firstly , welcome to CompuForums. I hope that you can visit our forum often in the future and post - rather than just receive our advice, fix your problem and then disappear. We provide our help for free, and all we ask in return is that you participate in our forum and refer your friends, or consider a premium membership.

I'm not an Apple user so I'm afraid that I can't provide much help right now, but many other members are and they should be able to provide more specific advice.
You'd be better off trying Mozilla Firefox. We have a list of reasons to switch primarily for Windows users located at http://www.compuforums.org/get-firefox.html, but Firefox has been proven to be more efficient than Safari at loading webpages - so you really should give it a try. You should be able to import all bookmarks, etc. very easily.

Again - sorry I can't provide anything else to fix the specific problem, but I am sure that another member will soon.
