I deleted the address field on my Safari Browser. NLOL! I haven't been able to figure out how to restore it, without getting back into my install disk. I would appreciate any help that any of you can give me. I don't want to take a chance and make things any worse then they already are.

I'm not that experienced of a Mac user, but here's what you do:
View -> Toolbars -> Address Bar (It might say something else) I've had that problem with Internet Explorer once.

Sorry, I thought you deleted the whole of safari, if you go to the view menu on the top bar of your mac (with the blue apple) when safari is open, just go to toolbars and select address toolbar.

IGNORE BELOW THIS LINE!

If you get your installation disk, BUT DONOT REBOOT INTO IT, IT WILL DELETE YOUR MACS CONTENTS, just put it in whilst in OSX, then a Finder Window will pop up, with the CD Contents, double click "Install Mac OSX Software" then a install wizard will come up, just search through it, and find safari, make sure it is selected and then continue the install. When it has finished remove your CD and restart, and then go to your apps, and safari should be in there, but youll need to add it to the dock manually.

Although you might want to install firefox on your mac, then you get tabbed browsing and its still mozilla based like safari.

Thanks, I got it. I had just misunderstood what was being said in the Customize toolbar box.

As Rob suggested - you may find Firefox better.
Our guide is mainly designed for Internet Explorer users, but Safari has been proven to be less efficient than Firefox. http://www.compuforums.org/get-firefox.html

Ashley, thanks for the info. I already have Firefox, plus Netscape, Camino, Flock, and Opera. I use them all for different things, at different times! I never use IE, from my experiences with it in the old days when I used Windows!

I really do like your forum! It provides a much needed service, IMHO!

I would just reccomend switching browsers, maybe Mozzila Firefox.

Because s/he is using a Mac, not Windows. IE for Mac hasn't been updated for years. Plus the Windows version is still shoddy anyway.
