Angry MSN Problem
Okay, I have a problem with MSN Messenger:


I try to send this guy a message, but it said it wouldn't send it. He's online, but when I send a message to him, for some reason it doesn't work
Anyone know what's wrong? Cause I sure don't.

Are you sure that the other person is not rejecting the message? Well, that aside, did you recently "upgrade" to IE7? Given the large number of problems it has, I wouldn't be surprised if this isn't another manifestation of IE7's problems. Other than that, and checking your firewall to ensure the correct port is open (which Windows should automatically do for MSN, but can't for a hard firewall), I don't have a lot of ideas. Try reverting to the previous version and see if that fixes it.

ok, msn has been pretty buggy and awful recently. maybe we should all move to a jabber based system? i get this same error alot.

This is a pretty well known error. It happens to almost everyone at some point.
I suggest using Gaim, it can log you in to any of the mianstream IM programs, including (but not limited to) MSN, AIM & ICQ

The usual problem is that the user has signed off but the WLM servers don't update.

Try using Firefox, see if the same thing happens. Then try reinstalling Messenger. I had a problem with Skype that was resoved by uninstalling then reinstalling Skype.

Normally if you sign out nad back in this problem solves itself, i usually find it happens when my msn list has a lot of contacts online, it dosen't happen that often but it may be an overload on Microsofts server which is causing some messages not to send.
