Default GFX/PSU Questions

I'm a little concerned about my GFX card and PSU compatibility for the computer I'm about to build. I'm going to put a Radeon HD 4870 X2 card in my computer which seems to require a much larger PSU. I'm currently thinking that a PC Power and Cooling PPCT860 860W ATX12V would be a good solution for this (Sorry I cannot link you since I do not have 5 posts).

PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817703013

I just wanted to know if anyone had any thoughts on different PSU's or if the psu I chose is overbored etc. Any comments would be appreciated.

PS: Is it worth getting a better motherboard for DDR3 or is not much of a difference from DDR2 800?

1: What does "Capacitor Aging" refer to when filling that out?
2: The drop down list does not list my purchased video card (Radeon HD 4780 x2) how different will that be from a Radeon HD 4780, should I just add another 4780 card to simulate the needed power requirments?

Just fill in what you know.

Use the ati 4870 and leave the capacitor blank. I am sure you will not need as much power as you are going to buy. Look at my specs and I have plenty of power using 550 watts.

Thanks for the site, I rated around 670 watts. Though thats with the 4870 card, the 4870 x2 is basically two 4870's put on one gfx card so it could go as high as 750 watts. I'll try to look for an 750-800watt psu.

EDIT: Ended up getting: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...0750W%20ATX12v
