hey guys
i am just wondering. i have a 160g western digital SATA drive in my current system using xp home as a secondary drive i am currently builing a new system using vista and want to use the 160g hard drive in that computer as a secondary drive also...can the hard drive be moved from one system to the other without complications?? |

New machine has Vista according to him. He wants to use the XP hard drive as a secondary drive. I think we need clarification. You want to dual boot or just wipe the drive and use it for storage or whatever? If you dual boot I think you have to put in mother board drivers, video drivers and all the rest to make it work.

ok just to clarify
i am using a 160g HDD in my current system using XP. my new system i am building will be using Vista. i want to run the HDD drive in my new system can i just put it straight in or do i have to format it first? |

ur 160 hdd with xp can be used to dual boot? i've only ever dual booted xp and linux distros. not sure bout vista/xp, but if u want to use SOLELY vista, then yes, of course ur hdd has to be formatted.
