Default Mobile Graphic Cards

....i have a Toshiba laptop

*Specs*

Intel(R) Celeron M CPU
1.73GHz
502MB RAM
Mobile Intel(R) 945GM Express Chipset Family
Windows Vista Basic 32-bit

....and i was wondering if i am able to get a new graphic card, or an update?
becuz im trying to play some game....but my current card doesnt support it =/

by the way,the game is Silkroad Online THX

That is a weakness with laptops.....No new video card. Only integrated video...Sorry.

Perhaps the market will rectify that shortcoming.

Yes ... laptops are extremely limited to graphics options... i doubt you will find a card

A laptops video card is usually intergrated into the motherboard, so upgrades are out of the question. I discussed something similar to this a while back about an external graphics card for a laptop, found here external gpu and here External Graphics Card??. A drawback to this product is the fact that you would have to buy an external monitor as well. But considering i can't find any articles on this product that are newer than 7 months ago, and the fact that it was supposed to be available in May, I would be skeptical about this product ever being released.

You can make an upgrade but only if you have a graphics card, not the accelerator as Mobile Intel Express Chipset Family.
I've had a Dell Inspiron 6000 with the accelerator installed and I've been having the similar problem.

I've been playing some games on my Inspiron 6000, but not on the highest graphics settings. No one said it was impossible
