| I concur. Your motherboard's agp slot will only allow up to a 4x bandwidth, whereas the newer boards have an 8x bandwidth. If you were to buy a micro-atx motherboard with a PCIe x16, you will get 4 times the bandwidth, giving you a major performance boost, and you won't have to buy a new case. To answer your original question, yes, you can put pc2700 memory on that motherboard. DDR memory just as SDRAM will just underclock to whatever the lowest speed of the all the memory is or what is supported or the FSB; whichever is the lowest. Also, your best bet on an agp card without breaking the bank(somewhere around $100)Newegg.com - GECUBE GC-RX155PGA2-E3R Radeon X1550 512MB 128-bit GDDR2 AGP 4X/8X Video Card - Retail or equivalent. anything bigger will be of no use, your system as a whole will be a bottleneck. If you are entertained by the idea of buying a new motherboard, let us know. We might be able to make some recommendations.

| thanks alot that helps out with the information. I just have a quick one. Will a Radeon™ X1650 PRO AGP be compatible with my mobo because i really like this card but the system requirements say that i just need an AGP of 8X or 4X but will the difference in how the Voltage is be compatible cause the speeds can be backward compatible but what about this graphics card voltage? ________________________ This user added the following: ________________________ Quote:

| No matter what you put in, the card will only be able to communicate with the rest of the computer at AGP speed.
