You should be able to tell for yourself really while using them.

I believe the Celeron 2.00ghz CPU 2.00 ghz and 1.24gb of ram would be faster.

btw the CPU is the processor.

pentium and celeron are both processors. y did you post their ghz twice?

and ur laptops faster. because of the faster processor, and greater amount of ram. unless you have a bunch of crap on it. ?????

The pentium 1.8 will out perform the celeron 2.00 ( i assume celeronD) but since the pentium 4 only has 768mb of ram ... the celeron system will out perform it

I disagree I think the Pentium 4 would be faster just because of the cpu itself Celerons are slow!!

But the ram is really the deciding factor here.

4gb ram is really overkill to that processor anyway...

But yes, they are slow processors , Hell my Dual Core 2.4Ghz processor is begging to get slow

First off 4gb is the max I can have - I do agree with your reply but I would like to add the fact that some individuals concentrate on speed so much that when it really boils down to it....they will never really be satisfied - A thread that was posted some time ago by cityPC was something like "Hack your bios for faster startups"...........again, waht difference dose it really make anyway? I will go and grab a beer while my computer is booting instead of waiting like there is no tomorow if my computer does not boot qiuck enough - I think that sometimes we do too much to our systems that overtaxes them which in turn creates even more issues........Hence............SPEED-SPEED-SPEED-it will never be quick enough!!!..Sorry for the ranting but I hear so much about speed with computers that if people wnat it from the getgo......Then spend the money from the start!
