hey, get the 1gig radeon 2900. its only 50 bucks more and it gives you a massive memory jump. My cousin has one and it makes me so jelous. It Brings a tear to my eye when i can see what his comp can do

oh, and i just wanted to add that i saw you guys were commenting on Vista. When you say its a process hog, it really isn't. When you look at the ram usage indicator its going to say you are using a majority of your ram because vista is going to try to use as much as it can to make your experience better. Then when you open an application and want to do other thigs vista starts using less ram on the OS and more on the app. So vista isn't really out to be the baddy you think it is. And i think its pointless for you to buy this big beefy card and not even be able to use dx10 capabilites when all the newer games are coming out. On my gaming specific computer im running vista and i think its absolutely amazing. I mean, after all it is your comp, but Vista isn't really all that bad. But you do have to realize that in the world we live in today most of the time its out with the old and in with the new. If you want full capabilites in gaming and able to use all of your hardware to its max you should get Vista. You cant even use all four gigs of your ram on xp. Quite hinestly you would be wasting money on things you can use to your full potential. Its like buying a cadillac to go offroading in. it doesn't makes sense.

so theres my two cents,
-Matt Schlapa

Stick with a 32-bit O/S for a couple more years until the 64-bit applications become the norm.

To take advantage of 64-bit processing and to relieve the ~3.5GB cap on memory. At least, that's why I'd get it...if I had the money.
