Ah good ol' Alienware.

I bought a desktop from them. Ran great even under the constant abuse from people saying I overpaid for junk. I loved the case too. Their laptops are absolutely sick.

As I said, i'm waiting on the notbook w/ quad core. They don't have to look great to work great. The big advantage is that Alienware will build a notebook with a desktop mobo/processor. I don't plan on using a battery anyway, so it doesn't matter as much. So getting the AMD quad core will be very nice. I build my own desktops.

i'm getting my new computer in November, so I will read reviews on ones released around that time and may go with AMD (hopefully they'll overclock better than the Athlons!)

My Athlon 64 doesn't like overclocking what-so-ever, I've tried, it either becomes unstable or it won't enter windows

tried large amounts at first, then tried going 10Mhz at a time and it didn't like that, then tried changing voltages and that didn't work, it maybe my motherboard, also my computer runs quite hot anyway, CPU is 55 degrees C when it's not doing anything, I'm well ventilated but just no give, performance is great neways and hardware is outdated, so time for a new one

Read comments on my CPU and other people struggle to overclock aswell, the Phenom will be out when I buy a new computer, so it'll all come down to peoples opinions and suggestions!
