Question moved my motherboard, now NO sound whatsoever!

Hey all, i have this problem thats been kicking my butt for 2 weeks.

i moved my motherboard to a new case. when i brought it up, i had no sound. the 'sound card' (if you want to call it that) is mounted on the motherboard and i've troubleshot just about everything i can think of. checked the speakers, wires, device drivers etc, and bios. nothing has worked.

any suggestions?

Could you please tell us the manufacturer and model number of your sound card. It is most likely a driver issue.

Are you saying that is built-in audio. Or is it a sound card in a pci slot?

I suggest doing what Southparkxp101 said download CPUID then when you find out what brand your sound card is go to your computer brand Dell,or whatever you may have website and download the driver for your sound card.

Look buddy, if it's a built on sound card, then the audio ports will eject from the motherboard.
If it's not a built on sound card, then the sound card will be inserted into the motherboard, vertical to the mother board.
Get it?

If not? Take a picture of the inside of your computer, and then post the picture.
If you don't have a camera? Consider giving us the model# of your motherboard

ha ha... i think i know the diff between built in and not. i got ya and its not vertical to the motherboard. its a yellow square attached to the motherboard but i havent figured out how to 'eject' it. it seems almost hardwired though i know that probably isnt the case.
