Default Crossfire and sli

I was just curious. So if there is a motherboard that says its crossfire ready, does that mean it can support Sli configuration too? oh, and i also wanted to know that if you have a motherboard with 2 PCI-E slots (one x16 and the other x4) can you run a crossfire or sli config. Thanks

To answer your questions ,you must have two of the same cards to run either SLI or Crossfire and they must be in the PCI-E x16 slots Sli is for Nvidia and Crossfire for ATI cards . Hope this helps.

well, i knew that. and this is really an older thread i posted. I now know that you need a motherboard with the same chipset features as the manufactuers' cards. Let alone, if you have a mother board like mine as to where you have one pci-e slot at a bandwidth od x16 and another at x4, the highest bandwith your cards can produce is x4
