| Why don't you upgrade your Power supply unit for one that is designed for gaming? There are several good 1,000 Watt power supplies an the market. The cost is a bit more expensive, but they'll give you the power and protection you need. My recommendation would be the Thermaltake ToughPower. However, expect to spend around $250.00 or more for one. They're worth it!!! |

| i had thought about going for a monster psu, but i figured if i was just surfing or moving music to my cell or other low usage tasks, that i could turn the power supply to the gpu and use less power. my plans were to build a system based on the quad-sli mb with a main psu for the mb and one gpu, with another psu for an additional gpu plus a physics card. i also figured if i wanted to add fans and lights, the more power connections, the better. |
