Default Check spelling please

First, what jumper pins and switches are you trying to change, and why?

Please check your spelling on the following:

Qompaq _______ (no such name as "vivien")
Compaq________(no such name as "vivien")
009560-101 <-- is a Compaq part number for the motherboard and not a model.

On the back, or side, of the Compaq will be a small rectangular white sticker that will have similar numbers. What are they? Also, what is the model of the Compaq (such as a Deskpro)?

Also, to be honest, there should be no reason for you to change any of the jumper pins on the motherboard. This is a P-2 board and the only jumpers that may need to be altered are those to clear CMOS. The board self-detects the CPU speed and does not need configured.

Have you attempted to change any of those jumpers? Don't if you haven't already.

Hi there magoo_andy,
Firstly, welcome to CompuForums. I hope that you can visit our forum often in the future and post - rather than just receiving our help and advice, and then never visiting again. We provide our help for free, and all we ask in return is that you participate in our forum and refer your friends, or consider a premium membership. Also try to put a bit more effort into making your posts readable.
As cityPCservice said, you shouldn't need to set any jumper settings. It could simply be that the motherboard is dead - have you ever seen it working?
The best place to get the info you think you need is HP/Compaq. Older machines are not mentioned on the web much, but HP/Compaq will probably have archived manuals and data sheets.
