The video card that you need depends on what you are going to use it for. Do you want a video card for gaming or just a normal video card more for doing work and things like internet? Either way you probably can get it for less than a $100.

Well im going to use it for working, internet, and games. But besides that im not a real heavy gamer i just need something that will be good but cheep (under $100) and something that wont be way out of date in a year. i dont no if that helps at all

live in US Michigan. i found one on new egg with a huge rebate but i don't no how long the rebate will last for so if u can find any thing else that would be awesome. Newegg.com - BFG Tech GeForce 7600GT BFGR76256GTOCE Video Card - Retail

That sounds pretty good. If you need one quick I would go ahead and buy it. If you don't need it to urgently then you might try ebay.com or staples.com, bestbuy.com, or circuitcity.com. I will look at some of these web sites and see if there are any that you might be interested in. Could you give me your zip code so I could see if there are any of these stores near you?

Yeah i found that cause somebody posted their hardware crap on another forum and i looked it up but yeah i don't no much about video cards so i just hope that that one stays in stock with the rebate for a couple more months cause I'm not in a hurry for it. Thanks thou

I doubt that the video card will still be on sale in a couple of months but I don't know hardly anything about newegg.com I could be wrong. I would wait like you said and if that one deal expires than there will probably be another deal that is almost the same or better.

And, welcome yeafro, to the CompuForums community. I look forward to reading your future posts Quote:
yeafro, I'm sure you're already aware, but that video card dosen't use standard VGA cables so if your monitor does not have DVI you might need to get some converters [they're cheap].

| The video card in that link from newegg is a PCI-E x16 card, which is not compatible with your computer if I read the schematic of the mobo correctly--you need an AGP graphics card, not a PCI-E x16 card as your mobo does not have a PCI-E x16 slot. Any of these AGP cards from newegg should work in your computer: Newegg.com - Once You Know, You Newegg As for the quality of each one, I cannot vouch. Here's a nice AGP Geforce 7600GS, which should work just fine for you and is only ~$125, which isn't a bad price at all. Newegg.com - ASUS GeForce 7600GS N7600GS/HTD/256M Video Card - Retail
