If you mean how much you can install before it stops working, that would mainly depend on your motherboard. Though most newer computers can handle well over 2Gb of memory, some even 4Gb.

If you mean how much RAM you can put in your system, then check with the motherboard manufacturer. But no matter what motherboard you have, if you have a 32bit CPU then you will only be able to put in up to 4GB. On 64bit CPUs this limit is much higher and it will probably be 20 years or more before we see computers reaching it.

If you mean you want to know if your computer's RAM is overloaded, then messages from Windows saying "The system is running low on virtual memory" is a good indication that your RAM is almost used up. By the way, how much RAM do you have?
