Default Video cards

I am planning on either building or buying a new computer soon, and was wondering which video card should I use. I have a GeForce 6200 but I also have a Radeon 9200. Which would be better to use?

Default Which version of the 6200 do you have?

So I'm curious, are you building a computer from scratch with newer components/technology? If so, why go with such dated cards?

That said, there are a few things to know. First, I used a 9200se quite some time ago--probably three graphics cards ago--it's a fine card. 128 MB memory, something like 250 MHz core and 400 MHz memory. Not great by any means, but if you're not really into gaming, more than enough.

What specifically is the 6200 card you have, because there are quite a few different versions of it. Like AGP or PCI-Express? Does it use Turbocache (I'd stay away if so), or does it use it's own dedicated memory the the 9200? I think it has a dedicated 128 Mb with the option to enable turbocache.

Well, after a brief look, it seems that the 6200 has a faster core and memory speed than the 9200, so you might want to go with it.

If you really do plan on playing newer games (within the last two years), I'd really recommend getting a newer card, preferably pci-express x16 if you're going to be buying a new motherboard anyway.
