mythTV box

One of my friend want to build a mythTV box, and he is looking at motherboards
for example, this mobo seems to have rca output for video and sound built into the mobo, but there is no onboard video, so does it use whatever graphics card he put into it, and the rca output it jumpered to the card, or what?

also, If anyone knows of any really good hardware for a media PC, please post a link here.
