I have laptop that I bought last year. It has an AMD mobile sempron 3000.When I go to the properties in MY COMPUTER It says Processor 1.8 GHz I hit cancel and the right click again and it will either say 792 MHz or 1.58 GHz. What does this mean. |

| Since it is a laptop, the processor automaticly slows itself down when it isn't being used so much by programs in order to save power.

| Yes, Ashley is 100% right, the cpu gives out adequate power for the app but limits it to save battery. If you plug in the power cord and restart it does it run at full speed? If not I think there may be settings in your bios, but I cant be sure and I cannot help as I dont know the bios. If you are unsure dont mess with it, it seems to be working correctly.
