Default Icons in Windows

This is a good one. A lot of people spend hundreds of dollars on software to edit/create desktop icons. They don't even know how to use MS Paint. The software is already a part of their PC, if they would only explore it.

This should help a lot of poeple.

Thanks Ultra_Man

You should have no trouble following these instructions on Vista [the hard drive-killing OS]

Hitachi hard disk + Vista = Drive failure

[although, you may be able to take Vista out of the equation and get the same answer...]

Well, it was accessing my drive pretty much the whole time, and XP wasn't.

Default 10,000 rpm

At 10,000 rpm, you might as well move to a SCSI drive. They are more dependable, last longer, and are faster (though I've never seen a SCSI for laptops -- which would eb an interesting concept!)
