Default which video converters do you use?

i use the following video converters
TMPGenc - one of the best out there.. cutting merging vcd creation etc.
cucusoft - has never failed me in any of my converts the new version can even convert rm

virtualdub- is a legendary video converter has been around for quite a long time it encodes converts all types of video files except real media (perhaps wit a plugin) i use this program to encode video files to divx format.

I use DVD Decrypter to dump DVD VOB files onto my hard drive. IMToo DVD Ripper to rip VOB files to AVI (Xvid). Then I use PQDVD to iPod Converter to convert AVI files to MPEG4 to dump onto my ipod (probably the best AVI to MPEG4 converter out there, and conversion times are so short, and has tons of settings to optimize the quality/file size). I also use a free DVD Ripper (can't remember the name of it right now) that sometimes works better than IMToo.

virtualdub is probably the least-know, best video converter out there. I only wish it supported H.264 format (or perhaps now it has released a codec pack for it?). Even so, it's a great utility.

I use DVDFab (Platinum version). I don't pirate DVD's but don't like searching through a bunch of plastic for what I want to watch either.

I use DVDFab to convert/copy from the plastic to HDD where I keep a ready-to-play library. It will remove copy protection schemes and regions during the rip.
