Default Dual Setup - attempt 2

I posted a thread a couple of days ago, but it was closed. i think it was the link that caused a problem, so there is no more link..

I hope I am posting this in the right place. I have a few questions. I have the ability to get a new computer this weekend and I wish to put 2 19" monitors next to each other and I want it to be that I can just move 1 mouse from screen to screen, but i dont know how to do this. Thats a problem for me by itself, but what if the new computer is vista and I currently have XP? this is an ideal computer that i want from a store:

Processor - Intel Core 2 Quad 2.4GHz
System Bus - 1066MHz
Cache Memory - 8MB at die Level 2
System Memory - (RAM) 4GB DDR2
Hard Drive - 750GB Serial ATA II (7200 rpm)
Graphics - ATI RADEON HD 2400XT
Video Memory - 256MB (discrete)

This would cost 850 from the store and i was wondering if it would be as cheap to build something like that. well sorry about all my different questions. thanks for your help!
